Mommy and Me Vacay Outfit Inspiration

TARAS ROMPER // OLIVIAS SET

Hi Everyone! Whew it has been a week and the weather has not done me any favors! It has been rainy the past two days, but we have plenty of sunshine in the future. Today I wanted to share a highly requested post, mommy and me vacay style!  When I plan our looks for trips so many things come into play as I am taking content for the blog, but there is always a go to list of items I never leave without! I wanted to share some style inspo plus by go to packing favorites.

Mommy and Me Looks

It comes at no surprise that I love packing ALL the coordinating looks. While I love the twinning looks, my favorite looks are when we coordinate in different ways. I typically have one of us in a print and then the other in a solid with fun accessories. I go thru all my favorite sites and save my favorites and then start brainstorming unique mommy and me looks. The best way to coordinate is with fun hair scarves and with pops of color with your bag/earrings. Below are four looks I put together!

LOOK1- RED DRESS // FLORAL DRESS // HEAD BAND // EARRINGS

LOOK2- STRIPED DRESS // CORAL DRESS // HAT // EARRINGS

LOOK 3- GREEN DRESS // FLORAL DRESS // BLACK SHOES // BAG

LOOK 4- TAN HIGH LOW DRESS // JUMPSUIT // EARRINGS //  BAG

Neutral Straw Handbag

When I travel on beach vacations, I typically leave my designer bags behind and bring one or two neutral straw handbags. I bring a crossbody and a large tote to have options. THIS bag by cult gaia has been my tried and true favorite (I have it in 3 colors,) and I love this crossbody style. There are so many amazing options at different price points and you can check out my favorites below (LOVING this under $20 option too!)

Beach Accessories

Head scarves are very popular this year and something I have always brought with me on beach trips. I love getting smaller ones to tie in my hair or on my bags and then larger ones to use as sarongs over my swimsuits. Scarves are the perfect way to add a pop of color to an outfit too! I also love my statement earrings and I have been really loving all the seashell styles coming out this year!

Maxi Dresses

An effortless beach dress is a must have on any beach trip. I love getting solid colors so that I can accessorize it multiple ways. Below are some of my current favorites.

Neutral Sandals

Another thing I try to not overpack on is shoes. I bring three pairs on each of my summer trips, a flat sandal, a sandal and a wedge. All of them are neutrals, unless I have a particular outfit I need a statement shoe for. THIS pair of nude heels are my go to favorites and THIS is my current favorite pair of flat sandal. I wore out THESE wedges last summer and I love this more affordable option. I also pack a neutral and white pair of sandals for Olivia as well.

Swimsuits

This does not need any explanation haha. OF course you will need a swimsuit for a beach vacation. I always pack a practical one piece to chase Olivia around in after I shoot my blog photos. Below is some mommy and me style inspo!

LOOK 1- BLACK ONE PIECE // BLACK TWO PIECE // HAIR SCARF

LOOK 2- ONE PIECE // TWO PIECE // SANDALS // EARRINGS

LOOK 3- KIMONO // PINK STRIPE SWIMSUIT // PALM SWIMSUIT

LOOK 4 – ONE PIECE // TWO PIECE // EARRINGS

LOOK 5- ONE PIECE KIDS // ONE PIECE WOMEN // EARRINGS

HATS

This girl likes her hats and I never leave home without them. I get a lot of questions on how I pack them. I stack them all up together, stuff the bottom one with pjs and then lay flat in the suitcase. I then pack additional items around them. I also always pack hats for Olivia for extra sun protection.

PLAY CLOTHES FOR OLIVIA

You guys know I love mommy and me looks, but the majority of Olivia’s suitcase is full of everyday clothes. I love Old Navy, Carters, and Target for these types of clothes and I rounded up my favorites below.
