One Year Ago Today…..

A year ago today I became Mrs. Gibson! Man alive has this year FLOWN by! I still get butterflies when I look at our wedding day pictures and would most def do it all over again (marrying drew again, noone else haha) BUT I think my parents might not be down for that! haha.

When I first started this blog I told the proposal story! There are many new faces so I will tell the story again! So grab a glass of wine. sit back and grab a box of tissues : )

So Feb 14th 2007 Drew told me we were going to do something we had never done before for Valentines day. LOTS of things went thru my head from horseback riding, to a couples spa day! I had NO idea. So that night he told me we were going to look at rings! SHUT UP! I was soooo excited! We had talked about getting engaged, but he still wanted to wait a little longer. So we headed over to a bunch of ring shops and looked at all sorts of styles. Drew liked the simple ones I liked the blingy ones.. go figure haha. So of course in the back of my head I thought, I AM GOING TO GET ENGAGED SOON! Boy was I wrong haha. 3 months pass.. no ring.. 6 months pass no ring.. 9 months pass no ring.. WHAT! Yeah this girl hear was getting a little frustrated haha. So I took many deep breaths and decided he would do it for Christmas, since its my favorite time of year. So I was all excited the week of Christmas. Then the day came and you guessed it…NO RING. So I shed a few… LOTS of tears, Drew had to console me and basically tell me it wasnt going to happen.. I was devastated. So I had to try to get pass it for our new years trip to Dallas for the Cotton Bowl. The day before we were leaving I told Drew to come over for dinner, then he called me about 3 hours before he was supposed to be over and said that we should just go out to eat. I admit in the back of my head I was thinking.. hmmm we never go out to eat for a big dinner before he head out of town, but I didnt want to get my hopes up for anything. So I got dressed up and Drew came over to get me. I opened the door and Drew had this permagrin on his face and was all dressed up. I still didnt clue in too much. So we got in the car and he asked where we should go eat. I said he could choose and he pulls into James at the Mill, a very very nice restaurant in NWA, and then proceeds to tell me that he got us a room. My heart starts racing. So he leads me down to the room and opens the door and there are candles EVERYWHERE and roses petals all over the place. I immediately started to tear up and he tells me to go check the table.. So I walk over, knees about to buckle and see the ring box and I pick it up and see that its just the top and I turn around… Drew is on his knee, with tears in his eyes and tries to talk but all he could get out was “Will you Marry me” I am bawling and of course say YES! It was so perfect! I always said I would tell my family in a fun way, yeah right! haha I called my mom and sisters and family and told them the news. Of course my mom, dad, sisters… basically everyone… already knew this was going to happen and had seen the ring! haha. They sure did pull a fast one on me… which believe me is a HARD thing to do : )

I am SO blessed to have found Drew and I Love him so very much! We look forward to what God has planned for us (hopefully a little Drew and a little red headed girl : )) Here are lots of pics from the past… (Warning there are lots of kissy ones haha)
