So this may not be funny to everyone! But we sure did get a good laugh out of it!
so a couple of weeks ago I mentioned that I am known to mispronounce words …..often
WELL I was reading this job interviewing book with Drew and the word integral came up. RIGHT off the bat I said it to myself a few times making sure I got it right before I said it out loud… is it in TI grul or in TEG rul. Well I went with in TEG rul. moving on…..
Later in the night Drew and I were talking about tennis shoes. We are keeping Christmas small this year because we like to take trips, so I asked for a new pair or running shoes. I have always stuck with Asics but Drew mentioned Saucony! He pronounced it SOCKAKNEE… well me being ME I thought that was wrong and I have always pronounced it SOOKOKNEE… and I called him out on it and HE brought up INTEGRAL and how I said it was wrong. oh no he didnt! haha
SO we went back and fourth him saying its IN TI GURL and me saying its IN TEG RUL. So FINALLY we went to dictionary.com and pressed play and this is what it said
IN TI GRAL OR IN TEG RAL
WHAT!?…NO WAY!…….IT CANT BE!…..BOOOOOO! : ) I guess we we were both RIGHT!
But of course, Drew said that even though Dictionary.com says that, it’s wrong.. haha OH DREW! : )
awww but Sadie and I still Love you and your inability to say you were kinda sorta wrong 😉

We do this all the time about the way things are supposed to be cooked, or how the tree is supposed to be decorated, etc.!
my fiance and i argue and always get a good laugh out of how we both say coupon. he says it one way, i say it another and we both tell each other we are saying it wrong 😉 sometimes we ask our servers at restaurants just for an extra laugh. haha!!

OMG tara! when i was first reading your first paragraph and the word "integral" came up I had problems figuring to to pronounce it. i mean GEEZ! we are both horrible at it 🙂 haha!

I do the same thing!! I'm always pronouncing stuff wrong, and then when I get caught I just say "well, that's how we say it in [blank]country" because I was raised in different ones. Confuses people alot. 🙂

hahahaha this is hilarious! Totally would happen to me! I always ask Mr "hey how do you say this word?" and he just looks at me like "REALLY?". Yes. Really.
