Workout Wednesday Returns

Hey ladies! Its the return of Workout Wednesday! Today I am going to talk about LEGS! Sing it with me.. She’s got legs….. she knows how to use them! haha.. I have had WAY to much coffee this morning : ) I do not do very many leg exercises because running tones the stems already and I tend to bulk up if I do too much.

this picture is from our Sex and the City Movie night last year! Look at all those pretty legs :)The best and easiest leg workout is the lunge. I use my 8lb weights while doing them and do around 25-30, 1-2 days a week. This also tones the booty : )

Then I do calf raises. The best thing about this exercise, is that you can do them anywhere! In the shower, on a stair, at your desk…. anywhere! I do these 1-2 days a week as well, in 3 sets of 15.

Also I am going to share my Mango Salsa Recipe! This is super healthy and very refreshing. I have made it with Tilapia and Chicken.

1 cups ripe seeded tomatoes, coarsely chopped
1 cups mango, diced
1/2 cup finely diced cilantro
1/2 cup red onion, finely diced
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 teaspoon of salt (use more if needed)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon of cayenne pepper or 1/2 jalapeno chopped

You can also add Cucumber to this! I am obsessed with cucumber haha : )

    I love doing lunges.."FEEL THE BURN!!" I'm going to use that salsa when I go up to Virginia to see the boy..yummy.. and I LOVE LOVE LOVE cucumber too! It was my favorite food growing up!

    I have started doing those in my office. I figure that's a couple hours a day I am alone, and sometimes with very little to do, so why not!

    I once did 12 straight minutes of calf raises while in the stand up tanning booth. KILLER! OMG!

    I def. need some ideas for ab workouts!!! eek! I have been working my butt off…and unfortunately have limited space so I usually run and or use the bike and I can't get rid of the belly pudge for anything!! (I am always eating fat free, sugar free, low fat etc…i ONLY drink water and tea…its crazy!) I just don't know how to lose the pudge..ideas? thnx!
