Christmas is soon approaching and I cant help to go back down memory lane. When I was little my sisters and I got so excited for Santa to come each year! We would ask for things like this…
BUT, on year(I was about 7 I think) I could NOT wait till sunrise to go see what Santa brought me. I had this genius plan, or so I thought to wake up early when everyone was asleep and go grab a gift Santa brought me. So I snuck into the living room around 4 am and grabbed the first present I could find and bolted back to the room. Now the plan MIGHT of worked if my parents room was not right next to the living room, if their door was not open, and if the present was not one of those old school balloons with a present inside that was as big as me! haha so of course…I GOT CAUGHT. haha. BUT I got to keep the toy : ) What are some of yalls favorite childhood toys you got from Santa?Maybe the Jolly Man will bring me this handbag on Christmas Eve……
a girl can dream right?Hope everyone is having a great day!!! XOXO
I loved those holiday barbies!! I bet my parents still have mine somewhere back home. My favorite gift was probably my TV for my room when I was about 10 yrs old. I couldn't wait to set it up and plug it in.
Aww! I looooved Christmas when I was little. We got a bajillllion toys. I always was th first one to wake up and go peak at presents and our stocking! LOVED IT! :o)
That's too funny that you snatched a present!
I used to love the Cabbage Patch kids & Barbies were always my present of choice growing up. Especially the really pretty dressed up ones. 🙂
I just always loved opening presents with my mom, brother & grandparents on Christmas day.
Oh goodness, I too LOOOOVED Cabbage Patch Kids and Barbies – memories for sure, haha 😀
Oh I would ask for Barbies every single year. I think my parent's basement is full of boxes with my Barbies. 🙂
And that bag is just amazing, girlfriend!
Aww…what fun memories of childhood Santa presents!
barbies and cabbage patch kids were a favorite of mine too!!
and LOVE the bag too!!
I could never sleep on Christmas Eve either! I LOVED dolls! I had a baby alive one year. My sister in law jokingly gave me a Holiday Barbie this year (we did Christmas at Thanksgiving w/ the in laws this year). Those balloon presents were the best back in the day.
Oooh what I wouldn't give for that beautiful purse.
This is soooo true!!!!
I remember that like it was yesterday!! You came and woke me up to show me and then we were like "What do we do with it now??!" One of my favorite memories…now we have my little ones to be sneaking presents =)!
Getting a Cabbage Patch Kid or a new Barbie was the ultimate gift growing up! I remember when people used to get in fights at the store over those Cabbage Patch Kids. I also totally remember those old school balloon things. It was so fun to pop open for your gift.
Love that Chanel bag. That would now be the ultimate adult gift!
We always had one big present that was unwrapped and all the others were wrapped. The funniest Christmas presents is when I got a bike for Christmas and since we live in snowy colorado I could not ride it outside. So my dad set up those stands that allows you to peddle the bike indoors and the front wheel just spins and you stay in place. I must have looked so silly in our living room going no where!!! (My best christ mas present was my horse!)
I remember when I was 10 i got a bike and was SO excited about it. i still remember that x-mas day.
I loved Holiday Barbie! I got one every year from Santa. My house burnt down when I was in 9th grade and that is the one thing I miss the most…Sad day.
I always got the Holiday Barbie and matching ornament! And now I ask for things like that purse. As I get older the gifts get more expensive!
i always asked for dolls and all the fun stuff to be a pretend mommy to go along with the dolls 😉
Aww! I use to get those collectible Christmas barbies every year too! They were all displayed in this beautiful case that my mom had made. Ahhh. Good times.
Awwww…I had all those pretty Barbies, too. Until, one day, I decided they needed a hair cut. Little did I know that their hair would not grow back. So, now I have bald pretty Holiday Barbies!
I remember the feeling of Christmas morning… I always wanted Barbie dolls and legos! 🙂 But i'd definitely be happy with that purse too!
Hahaha, I also used to get the Barbies. Not very often, though- they were too expensive, my mom felt, so I really only ended up with one Christmas Barbie, even though every year I wanted them all!
I dream in Chanel but Santa has failed to deliver one down my chimney so far lol
I absolutely love your blog – so glad I stumbled across it, the title is pure genius!

Oh my gosh, I totally remember those balloons!! My brother and I used to go find presents that looked easy to open and then retape them. My parents totally knew.
Cabbage Patch dolls were the BEST!

A 2.55 will forever be on my wish list. One of these days…ah ha. Oh and my sis is 28 and still asks for the holiday Barbie. Ah ha
