Born and Raised is right! Now I know Arkansas can get a bad wrap… we do wear shoes and we don’t walk around wearing overalls all the time. haha. We may have a southern drawl to our voice, but we are pretty proud of that ; )
There are so many things I love about living in Northwest Arkansas…. here are just a few
1. Razorback Football- Oh how i LOOOOVE me some football. its only a measly 58 days till the opening game and YES I am counting down. Us girls LOVE getting decked out in our personalized Hog gear and I look forward to it each and every year. Our fans are sooo dedicated just like all the other teams in the S E C. I cant WAIT till this season starts. I already have so many outifts planned with my friends : )
2. The Weather- YES, we have crazy hot summers, YES we have had crazy snow storms, YES we have some crazy spring storms and YES our Falls may be short…. BUT we have ALLLLL four seasons! Some may like the 75 degree weather all year long, but I love me some snow, and even rain. It may be the fashionista in me that likes to wear all sorts of clothes, or maybe its the fact that it is not Christmas unless its COLD. haha. I love our seasonal weather.
3. Short Travel Time- You can get just about anywhere in about 30-40 min. I may complain in the mornings when I have to drive 30-40 min to work, but its really not THAT bad : )
4. Opportunity- This part of Arkansas is continuing to grow, as do the opportunities! NWA is the home to Wal-Mart headquarters, which brings TONS of vendors. I love the diversity this brings and I absolutely LOVE my job!
5. Shopping- No we do not have a Saks, No we do not have a Nordstrom, NO we dont have a Bloomies.. but our local boutiques do a FABulous job in bringing great apparel to our town. We have high end stores like Lola, that is ALWAYS bringing the amazing clothes we see on Celebrities, Vintage stores like Maes and GreyDog that bring one of kind pieces and Riffraff,Belle,Impressions, Maca, etc that bring us the reasonable trendy adorable pieces. We really are LUCKY to have these great places to shop!
Well tmrw is Friday! YAY! I have been getting my days ALL mixed up this week. I thought the Bachelor was on wednesday haha
Hope you guys have a fabulous weekend! We have a pretty FUN one coming up : ) XOXO

I hear ya. I'm a born and raised Texan and Texas pride runs through my veins. I do get a bit OOC when it comes to defending our state. I think ppl just don't "get" the south if they aren't from here. Rock on w your NWA/Arkansas pride! ♥
NWA is beautiful! I fell in love with it several years ago -and the people are the very best!
I adore your blog -keep the fun stuff coming! Joy
I've never been to Arkansas, but you make it sound glam – especially about the boutiques! I love supporting local vendors.
That's cute!!
