Mixology

This spring  freshen up your wardrobe by mixing prints. Geometrics, polka dots, stripes, florals, you name it, it can be mixed. Knowing how to mix prints is like knowing how to mix colors. They can compliment one another without clashing.
Jeans Gap Skimmers || Blazer Hazels Haven(instore)|| Top Forever 21(not online)|| Shoes Zara || Bag Kate Spade || Necklace GroopDealz
There are a couple of rules I use when Mixing Prints
1. Let one print stand out– If the bottom is a small darker print, I pair it with a lighter more bold print. Basically let one print stand out over the other.
2. Use Similar colors– Like today I wore a black and white top, white a bold black and white blazer. You can use accessories to add additional color.
3. Watch Proportions- Large prints can overwhelm a small frame and small prints can get lost on a bigger frame. Also, be sure to wear pattern where you do not mind attention being drawn to.
4. Have Fun!– Do not over think it!
Here are a few of my favorite pairings for inspiration.

Window Pane Top|| Polka Dot Blazer
Stripe Button Down Top || Leopard Blazer
Striped Top || Star Blazer
Anchor Skirt || Polka Dot Top
Floral Blazer,||Striped Skirt
Happy Mixing ; )
