Happy Monday! Today I am kicking off a new styling series… Closet Staples! When it comes to building a great wardrobe, there are specific pieces that are the building blocks to the that perfectly polished look. Curating the closet of your dreams does not have to be a daunting task. When you have the basics, the trendy pieces are easier to style and make getting dressed in the morning so much easier.

To start off the series I am styling the classic trench coat. Trench coats are timeless. I love that they can easily be dressed up or down. I paired my trench coat today with a white shirt dress. I wanted to add another texture to my look so I layered an over sized pink sweater over my dress. I then added a pop of color with this gorgeous neutral striped scarf.
