Picking out the perfect dress, selecting your shoes, deciding what hair style to wear, swiping that perfect shade of lipstick on… Getting dolled up for a black tie event is pretty special. As I have gotten older, I find myself leaning towards more of the classic pieces. Wether that be a handbag or pump and in this case a black dress. Do I find my eye swaying towards that trendy colorful piece, of course, but the classics will never steer you wrong.

Every woman feels good in a LBD. The color of course is forgiving which will immediately give you a little extra pep in your step. Black dresses also give you more confidence. That confidence may be used to dance a little longer on the dance floor or maybe to strike up a conversation with someone new.

Little black dresses are powerful little things.We do not get that many chances to dress up, so when the opportunity comes, why not go all out!  My husband jokes that I am always overdressed and on time. As Karl Lagerfield puts it, “One is never over-under dressed in a little black dress.” I am not sure if my husband knows who Mr. Lagerfield is so I bit my tongue 😉

When I slipped this one on, my husband gave me a short “WOW!” It is amazing how that one word can make you feel. The dress also comes with a built in accessory.
