A Look back on 2018

Oh my goodness, I do not even know where to start! 2018  was one for the books. We traveled more than ever, I collaborated with dream brands, had a namesake top sold in Nordstrom (WHAT?!?)  with Gibson clothing and my family is healthy, happy and striving.

When I look back on the opportunities that came this past year, my heart is beyond full and I can’t help but tear up. Your support is WHY I am able to do what I love and for that I am forever grateful! Before starting 2018, I told Drew I wanted to invest in travel and making memories with Olivia. With her starting preschool this year and Kindergarten next year, I knew that the amount of “free time” we had with her was quickly coming to an end. I wanted to travel as much as we could and make as many memories we could make! Traveling with my family is my favorite thing to do and seeing travel thru your children’s eyes is absolutely amazing. Yeah I love a nice handbag or pair of designer shoes, but the memories we made this year FAR out weight any material item. I tell everyone I know to invest in travel if you have the means to do it. You do not have to travel out of the country to see beautiful thing places either. While we do want to travel abroad more in the future, we loved exploring the states this year.

JANUARY

We started the year with a trip to Park City, Utah! This was my first time to travel to Park City and would not be my last in 2018!

FEBRUARY

In February I traveled to Charleston in Lieu of Fashion week to meet up with some of my blogger girlfriends! This was my first time in Charleston and I fell in LOVE! I can’t wait to take my mom back here in 2019! Olivia and I also had a pretty fun mommy and me girls vday party too! I had to include the green striped romper in my favorites from Feb as it was hands down one of the most asked about items this past spring!

MARCH

In march we traveled to a couple of different locations in Florida! Drew’s mom lives just outside of Orlando and we traveled down to spend some time with family. We also drove down to Palm Beach for the weekend! Olivia and I launched a mommy and me collection with Maggy London  and I also got to collaborate with one of my dream brands, Michele Watches.

APRIL

In April I made a trip to Dallas for the annual Reward Style Conference. I love traveling to Dallas to see all my blogger friends and to connect with the Reward Style team. We also got to collaborate with new brands like Ebay, Joules and Mudpie in April.

MAY

In May we traveled to Laguna Beach to partner with the Montage. I am beyond thankful for the Montage partnership this past year and I can’t wait to explore more properties in the future. Olivia and I also collaborated with NBC and was part of the Kentucky Derby coverage too!

JUNE

June was a busy travel month! We partnered with the Four Seasons in Orlando to take Olivia to Disney and to review the GORGEOUS resort. Later that month, I traveled with my girlfriends to Palm Beach. Both trips were a couple favorites this past year. Olivia also tried out and made the competition dance team!

JULY

July we took an amazing trip to Ireland with Adventures by Disney. To partner with the Disney team was a DREAM and the Ireland trip was a trip of a lifetime. I am still in disbelief it even happened. It was truly a highlight of my entire blogging career. I also got to take over the Liketoknow.it handle to share our Ireland trip! This was a bucket list blogging moment and I feel so thankful to be able to do that this year!

AUGUST

In August we made a quick trip to LA for the now not so secret collaboration with Gibson x Nordstrom! It fell on Drew’s birthday so we made it a family trip! Olivia started preschool and I also celebrated another birthday!

SEPTEMBER

New York Fashion Week! This trip is always one of my favorite trips to plan outfits for and this year Drew went with me! I got to partner with so many amazing brands for this trip including, Milly, Shopbop, Parker, Revolve and Nordstrom. I am so grateful for these brand relationships.

OCTOBER

October was the Fall month of my dreams haha! Fall is my favorite season and I loved being able to travel to Park City with my friends and then to Boston to the Four Seasons with my mom and Olivia. Both trips were AMAZING. My mom and I also flew into LA to shoot the Gibson x Nordstrom campaign and collaborate with the Montage again! I loved being able to treat her to a fabulous birthday trip! Olivia also dressed up as the Chicken Palace Princess for Halloween and we coordinated as a family! SUCH A fun costume to put together!

NOVEMBER

November is notorious for being the busiest time of the year so we put a halt to travel! Drew and I had our 10 year wedding anniversary and Olivia turned FIVE! We had a big Eloise Birthday party for her. November is also when my top launched at NORDSTROM with Gibson! I am still pinching myself and SO thankful for Gibson and Nordstrom for choosing me for this opportunity. Olivia also had a fun collaboration with Nordstrom and did her first lookbook!

DECEMBER

This past month we had our annual girls trip to New York and had the best holiday season to date. Olivia and I also got to take over the liketoknow.it family account again this year! We had such a blast sharing our Aspen trip last year, but sharing our at home holiday traditions was my favorite!

THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU

I honestly can not say that enough! You guys are WHY I get to do what I love and it means the WORLD to me that you have continued to come to my blog daily and show me so much love and support. It is crazy to think how long I have been doing this! I have seen the industry change SO much and I am sure more change is to come. The only thing that has not changed is that I will always continue to be myself, and share what I truly love with you all. I am excited to see what 2019 has in store for both my business and family. I have so many ideas for my blog/business that I can’t wait to share with you all.  2018 was truly one for the books and the memories we were able to make with our daughter are truly priceless. Have the BEST New Years Eve and see you back here January 2nd! xoxo Tara
