Well I a jumping on the bandwagon and doing the “Love Story” link up!
1. How long have you and your significant other been together? We have been together for 9 years this past January!
2. How did you meet? {What’s your “love” story?} Drew and I met at JB Hunt. On my first day I saw a very handsome boy walk by in a grey pair of slacks and a black shirt. I was very curious to know more about this myserty man but didnt want to ask my new co workers who he was on my first day : ) A few days later I casually started talking to Drew. I would pretend that I didnt know how to run a certain program and would ask him for help. Funny thing is, he would tell me the wrong way to do certain things haha. About a week later he asked me on our first date and the rest is history. : )
3. If married, how long have you been married? We have been Married for 3 years and 3 months. Married on Novermber 15, 2008
4. If you are married, where did you get married? Big or small wedding? We got married at his Dad’s church and the reception was at the Fayetteville Town Center. We had a large southern wedding.
5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? The typical Babe, but Drew calls me and Sadie both rascals haha : )
6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.
He loves me(and Sadie) uncondtioinaly
He is extremly handsome
He is laid back and “tones” me down sometimes : )
7. Tell us how he proposed?
Drew took me to look at rings on valentines day. It was a surprise and i was shocked. Wellllll. he waited about 10 months later to pop the question. Talk about tourture! haha. After the holidays we had plans to go the Cotton Bowl for NYE. I thought for SURE he was going to propose there. Well the weekend before we left he asked me if I wanted to go to dinner. He picked me up and was grinning from ear to ear. As we were driving away from my house, he asked where I wanted to go eat. Well, I lived really close to one of the nicest restaurants in NWA, James at the Mill, at the time and Drew pulled right into the parking lot. He proceeded to tell me that he got us a room. He walked me back to the room and when he opened the door, there were candles and roses everywhere. I walked in and saw THE box and turned around and he was on one knee. So so sweet : )
8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals? Drew is really good about picking out flowers. He always gets me the most amazing bouquets from the local farmers market. But I would say we are more of an expensive bottle of wine couple : )
9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch? Well… I would say relax on the couch, but EVERY time we pop a movie in, I fall asleep : ) So I would say a sunset dinner on the beach, Drew and I both LOOOOVE the beach
10. Tell us one thing you’d like to do with your significant other one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere? Drew and I love to travel. In the immediate future we would love to go back to Hawaii. But we both would love to go to any exotic location.
11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentines Day? Every year we stay in and I cook up a 5 star meal. We splurge on the wine and just enjoy each others company. This year I am cooking at my mothers house and we are having a vday dinner party
12. Are you asking for anything this Valentines Day?
No, I am sure he has something up his sleeve
13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love. Communication and Support. Most of you know the story about how Drew and I went thru a LOT in our first year of dating, his heart and his father. Thru that we grew closer than ever and I learned what It meant to be there for someone unconditionaly. Knowing that you have someone that will always be there for you, means the world.

SO crazy! My husband and I were in AR working at one of the biggest college games of the year AND we stayed at Inn at the Mill for the week! We loved the grounds and thought it was SO cute, but never in my wildest dreams did I realize the restaurant on site is one of the best in the area. Now I wish we would have eaten there. Damn! 🙂
