For our second day in Napa, we had no set plans. We wanted to explore downtown, enjoy a nice brunch and then visit maybe one or two more vineyards. We started our day at ABC Bakery. I had the pancakes, and they were outrageously good. We decided to check in with the Andaz concierge to see if they had any recommendations for our second day of wine tasting.
Our first stop was Chimney Rock. Driving up, I knew I would love this vineyard. The grounds were breathtaking and there were lush flowers every where you turned. We were immediately greeted when we arrived and moved over to a VIP tasting (another Andaz surprise) Chimney rock is known for their Cabernets and we got to try them in a unique way. They poured us the same wine, but two different years. It is amazing how different they taste after aging in a cellar. Chimney rock made the tasting so personable and you really feel at home there.
Our next stop was BV. Drew and I have had MANY of their wines, so we wanted to visit to try a few more selective wines. Our wine specialist took us through each part of the wine production process. After trying numerous wines, we went to their reserve tasting room and had one of our favorite wines of the weekend, the George Latour Cab.
I wore a stunning white off the shoulder lace dress for this day in Napa. I had this dress for a couple of weeks and it was torture to not wear it haha. It is such a unique dress, yet very classic.
