NYFW Looks- Floral and Layers

Today I am sharing two looks from NYFW featuring a gorgeous coat by Sentaler. One look never made it outside our hotel because it was CRAZY cold! I’m telling you, a snowsuit was needed for that kind of weather!

The second night of NYFW I had the opportunity to sit front row at the Nicole Miller show. Each and every year this is a show I anticipate to see. She brings something new and fresh each and every season. I can always expect very feminine, put together looks, but she always puts a refreshing twist on her collection. The show started off with smoke filling the runway. When the first look rounded the corner, I knew it was going to be a ‘smokin’ show (every pun intended.)

The collection had a Nordic theme with lots of layers and stunning textures. The color scheme had classic Nicole Miller rich tones mixes with lighter shades and pops of fluorescents. It was a bit unexpected but completely worked together. I loved every single second of it! Check out some show images here.

For the show I wore a neutral tone layered look. I found this BCBG dress last year and fell in love with the intricate design and  the mix of black and blush tones. I topped it off with a textured black cropped jacket and a gorgeous Sentaler double breasted coat. I knew I needed another layer to my look to save myself from getting frost bit (literally) so I layered a black top under my dress.

Here are a few pics my mom snapped (rather quickly haha) before the show.

This next look I had planned on wearing to Lela Rose and Jenny Packham but one, it was ENTIRELY too cold and two, I ended up leaving early. We shot it back home this past weekend in much “warmer” temps. Its in the upper 50s here which feels like summer after being in NYC during an arctic blast. haha. This dress was one of my favorite pieces I brought to NYC. Oxblood and Blush is one of my favorite color combinations. I topped it with the same Sentaler coat I wore to Nicole Miller to make it more appropriate for this time of year. My coat was limited edition so it sold out quickly, but I linked more options below!
