If you are planning a trip to Aspen in the Summer/Early Fall visiting Maroon Bells is a must! The Maroon Bells peaks are the most photographed in the US, especially in the fall. We saw plenty of pictures before the trip, but seeing it in person was absolutely incredible. The contrast of snow and the fall aspen trees was breathtaking! It is something I will never ever forget and I am so happy Olivia got to see it too!
I picked up this adorable ruffled Free People top before our trip and I adore the fit. The high neck and ruffle detail is perfection. Olivia’s scarf was cut off my blanket scarf! I do this with all of my blanket scarves to take off some bulk and to maker her a matching one! We both wore our matching hunter boots and had a ball jumping around on the rocks!
A few things to know if you are planning a trip to Aspen to see this beautiful spot.
1.You can only take a car before 8am and after 5pm. Visit during sunrise to see the majestic mirrored image of the mountains in the lake! Sunset is just as beautiful during early fall to see the Aspen Trees glow!
2. It costs $10 to park your car. Cash ONLY!
3. 8am-5pm the road is only accessible by charter bus. You can book these charter visits ahead of time if you do not have a car.
4. The road to Maroon Bells is closed around the first week of October for the Fall/winter season. Peak time is the last week of September.
