Happy Monday guys! I hope everyone had a great weekend. We had SO much fun celebrating our Olivia. We had an Eloise at the Plaza themed party at a local hotel and it was a huge success. I have been planning this for weeks and had all sorts of fun surprises all night for Olivia, like her poppy dressing up and delivering room service 🙂 She has not stopped talking about how much fun she had. I will be sharing a post next week on all the details, so stay tuned for that!
Today, I am so excited to share a Friendsgiving Olivia and I had with my friend Mallory and her sweet daughter in Dallas a couple weeks ago. Mallory and I knew we wanted to get our girls together asap, so we planned a fun dinner at her beautiful home, guys it is STUNNING, and we both styled pieces from Gibson Glam.
Mallory was such a wonderful host and her table was absolute perfection. She did a full tutorial on how to make her centerpiece on her blog, so be sure to check that out! I could not get over how beautiful her place settings were. She truly has a knack for decorating and I can’t WAIT to see her holiday table. Adore her and her family to pieces.
I wanted to show you guys a more casual way to style my pink Tara top, so I paired it with a burgundy corduroy skirt. I love mixing pink and burgundy and this combo is perfect for Thanksgiving. I kept the casual vibe by wearing a pair of booties. If it is cold where you live, you can layer a turtleneck or long sleeve t shirt for extra warmth.
Mallory is wearing one of my favorite neutral pieces from the collection, the plisse wrap top. I styled this last week for a dressy holiday look, but I LOVE it paired with jeans.
Olivia is wearing an adorable Hucklebones dress. I fell in love with this brand a couple of years ago and they sent Olivia so many adorable holiday pieces. This dress has the most adorable bow back and Olivia loved the shimmer thru the dress. It also has the cutest matching headband.
I also wanted to share a recipe for a Thanksgiving Sparkler! This is a festive cocktail that we love to make for our Thanksgiving get togethers.
1 Bottle of Dry White Wine(you do not have to get the expensive wine, box wine works!)
1 Bottle of Champagne
1/2 a cup of simple syrup/mulling spices
How to Make Simple Syrup
- Mix 1 cup of water with 1 cup of sugar and 1 tbsp of mulling spices (or more if you want it strong in flavor). Bring to a boil then reduce heat to a simmer. Cook until sugar is dissolved (around 5-8 min.) Let cool completely.
Mix Wine, Champagne, and 1/2 a cup of cooled Simple Syrup in a large punch bowl. Garnish with frozen oranges or apple slices.
