It never fails, not matter how much I try, I  can NEVER sleep in while were are on vacation. I got up bright and early day 2 in Catalina and watched the sunrise while Drew snoozed away.  It is definitely a rare occurrence where I find myself alone, so I sipped on my coffee and caught up on a bit of blog work before our day started!

Drew surprised me and rented some cute bikes for us to ride around the island. The beach areas at Catalina are really small, but I threw on my swimsuit anyways and some cut offs with the cutest cover up EVER and headed out to explore. We headed over to the Descano beach club for some drinks and even made friends with the absolute CUTEST group of older women. They were there on a ladies trip and I had a BALL chatting with them.

Speaking of making friends, my husband is known in my family for making friends with people every where we travel too. He is a very laid back personable person, so its only  natural he chats it up with just about everyone. After our bike ride I headed up to change and he met a wonderful couple from Hungary at a local Mexican spot (where I had the best margarita ever!) Catalina is a very small town, so we ran into them numerous times throughout the trip.

Later that night we went back to our hotel to get freshined up and went to dinner at the BlueWater Grill. I wore this gorgeous Mara Hoffman Maxi Dress and my favorite sandals.
